Jon Leone is a multi-faceted video director and editor who has been creating documentaries, music videos, and commissioned works for the past ten years. In 2001, while still a student at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, he made the award-winning documentary "RECEIVER," which won the Festival Choice Award at that year's New York Underground Film Festival. He has worked as an assistant editor for clients such as NBC, Playboy, Atlantic Records, and Warp Films as well as on music videos for Sonic Youth, Will Oldham, The Kills, and Cat Power.
He has directed music videos for Animal Collective, Beach House, Dent May, Dungen, White Williams, and Ariel Pink. His work has been featured on MTV2 and PitchforkTV, and his commissioned pieces for The New Yorker and J. Crew have appeared in various venues around New York City. He currently lives in Brooklyn, NY. |
